Children’s Ministry
Welcome! At FUMC, we are committed to the spiritual formation and well-being of children. As a community, we take seriously the vows we make to these children at their baptism: to nurture them, surround them with love and grace, pray for them, and to help them become fully participating members of this faith community. Perhaps there is no greater task required of the local church than to pass the collective faith onto her children.
At the same time, we also take seriously that learning about God’s Story can be fun! As you navigate through this site to the various opportunities available to children, you will find a variety of ways that they can enter into, learn about, and engage with God’s Story. Our sincere hope and prayer for each child is that because of his/her total experience here at FUMC, s/he will begin to be more and more aware of how s/he is an indispensable and beloved part of God’s Divine Story. We invite you to join us on this sometimes-messy but always-interesting journey.
