Favorite TV show or movie: Blue Bloods, NCIS and FBI
Favorite book: Any type of mystery book; the first series I completed as a pre-teen was the entire Nancy Drew series.
Favorite music or band: I LOVE praise music!
Favorite Bible verse: Romans 8:38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Philippians 4:13: I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Family: Married for 48 years to husband, Cliff; two sons, Troy (Denisse) and Brent; four grandchildren, Gigi (9), Madelyn (7), Brayden (7), and Jackson (6).
Hobbies: I love to read and spend time with my family. I am always amazed at how fast the grandkids learn new things and how fast they change; they are becoming my “tech” advisors. Our family enjoys spending time at our lake cottage during the summer months.
What led you to (and keeps you in) ministry?: I was discouraged at my previous position and the Anderson First UMC Senior Pastor at the time was interested in hiring one person to do all financial duties as well as supervise the front office. I was up for the challenge!
What led you to (and keeps you at) Anderson First United Methodist?:
We were searching for a church that had an excellent children’s program over forty years ago. Anderson First UMC had a Friday “Mommy’s Morning Out” program I attended that attracted me to Anderson First UMC. We discovered the children’s programming was just what we were looking for. Anderson First UMC has kept us interested and content.
What do you like most about Anderson?: Even though all of our family lives out of town, we enjoy the “small town” atmosphere of Anderson and the variety of activities. We have made many friends during our 48 years of living in Anderson. Anderson is close enough to our children and Indy to be best of both worlds.
What do you like most about Anderson First United Methodist?: Anderson First UMC is our “touchstone” in that we enjoy participating in Sunday morning worship services, Bible study offerings, a variety of outreach activities, and interacting with many friends weekly.
