October Congregational Letter

October 2020

Church family and friends,

The time has come for us to return worship to our sanctuary! It is with excitement and caution that we will come together on November 1 at 10 a.m.  This happens to be the first day after Daylight Savings time ends.  Be sure the set your clocks!

There remain expectations for us to come together.  Please show your care for others by complying with these rules:

  1. Wear face mask
  2. Stay at least 6 feet apart
  3. Sanitize your hands when entering the building
  4. In the Sanctuary, sit where there are pew cushions
  5. Offering AND Attendance Cards will be dropped in the locked collection boxes at each sanctuary entrance
  6. Bulletins will be available at each sanctuary entrance.
  7. No shaking hands or offering hugs
  8. No refreshments will be served

Our first two Sundays in the sanctuary (Nov. 1 & 8) are designated Gratitude Sundays.  Here are the specifics:

November 1 – Gratitude and All Saints Sunday

We are grateful for this church home, our church family and all our loved who have graduated into eternal live.

Worship will include:

  • All Saints Celebration (pick up LED votive candle as entering the Sanctuary)
  • Communion (pick up your individual elements when entering sanctuary)
  • Celebration of this church home and YOU!

November 8 – Gratitude Sunday

Worship will include opportunities to show our gratitude:

  • Collection of Blankets for St. Vincent de Paul Society
  • Noisy Offering – Special offering including your coins!
  • Special offering is designated to furthering our presence & God message to the congregation and community – virtual worship, newspaper, mailings, ministry.
